Hazel Small Remedial and Sports Therapist
MFHST Previously a registered nurse, Hazel developed an interest in physical rehabilitation after an illness. She trained as a gym instructor and went on to do alternative therapies i.e. Indian Head Massage, Body Massage and Sports and Remedial Therapy. Before qualifying as a Sports and Remedial Sports therapist from Northumberland College.
Hazel enjoys working at local sports events in the region, as well as focusing on the treatment of injuries and the rehabilitation of many patients who travel from all over the North East to see her, here at the clinic.
Hazel uses a wide range of techniques including the use of mechanical aids such as gyratory and audio-sonic machines. Each patient receives personalised home care advise i.e. strengthen and stretching techniques to speed up recovery.
Rachel Cleghorn MChS Podiatrist Rachel developed an interest in podiatry from a very young age when a family member had troubles with there feet. Rachel completed a 3-year Bsc Hons degree at new college Durham in 2007. Since graduation Rachel has worked for Scholl foot stores, which was, based In Harrogate.Rachel then went on to work within Cumbria NHS podiatry department for 9 months. However Rachel decided to come home in May 2008 and continue her career with in the private sector of Podiatry. Rachel now works in various clinics around the northeast and works closely with all other professionals such as Physiotherapists, sports therapists and chiropractors. Rachel provides a friendly service and assesses every patient and there individual needs. Weather it be basic foot care, verucca treatments, biomechanical problems or just advice on foot care.
