patient outcome measures

As evidence based practice and an accredited research clinic we endeavor to make provisions for data to be freely available for other healthcare professions to establish a greater understanding of the benefits of manual manipulative therapy in certain musculoskeletal conditions. Every patient that is under chiropractic care is closely monitored using validated patient outcome measurement questionnaires we use:

• Oswestry Disability Index (ODI)

• Neck Disability Inventory (NDI)

• Measure Yourself Medical Outcome Profile (MYMOPS)

  MYMOPS Training site

Every year we compile a report to support clinical experience in the treatment of Chronic Lower Back Pain (CLBP), Acute Lower Back Pain (ALBP) and Neck Disability with manipulative therapy by using these validated questionnaires to record and monitor patient’s outcome measurements throughout  care. By doing so it allows the clinic  to evaluate and adapt care plans to incorporate both latest research findings and clinical experience for a more patient centre care role while maintaining an evidence based practice approach.
